Gandhi Global Family paid homage to former PM Rajiv Gandhi on 22^nd Death Anniversary with volunteers of Gandhi Global Family at City Palace Hall, Jammu. Padmashri S.P.Varma praised Rajiv Gandhi for playing a central role in shaping India’s development & growth story. He emphasised that Rajiv Gandhi, who was an icon of Generation Next, took some notable steps in the promotion of Modern India like economic development through the proper implementation of New Economic policies, endorsing New Education Policy through encouragement of Information & Communication Technologies (ICT), introduced Panchayati Raj system, encouraged people participation in political decision making by reducing voting age from 21 to 18 years & pushed Indian economy on a higher growth trajectory. Padmashri Varma highlighted that today’s India is a brand identity in the global competitive world of Information Technology, it is generating huge employment for our youth & entire credit goes to Rajiv Gandhi’s vision of New India. All volunteers paid floral tribute to Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi.
