Gandhi Global Family Youth delegation from Jammu flagged off for UK, US & Canada on Gandhian Mission


Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare & President Gandhi Global Family flagged off Gandhi Global Family Youth delegation for UK, US & Canada on Gandhian mission. Earlier welcoming the audience present on this occassion Padamshree S.P Varma, State President, Gandhi Global Family drew the attention towards the activities being undertaken by Gandhi Global Family under the able presidentship of Jenab Ghulam Nabi Azad, Hon’ble Union Minister for Health  & Family Welfare. He said that Gandhi ji is accepted & his ideology is embraced through out the world with open heart & arms. This is illustrated in the works of five iconic Nobel laureates Martin Luther King Jr, Nelson Mandela, Dalia Lama, Aung San Suu Kyi & USA President Barrack Obama who have nurtured Gandhi ji’s dream. They were & are inspired by Gandhian philosophy of humanism, compassion & non violence. They in their own way became the change which they wanted to see in this world. He advised the delegates to act as Gandhi Doot for spreading the sentiments of Indians for a peaceful world. The head of the delegation Mr. Manish Joshi, Coordinator, Gandhi Global Family Youth Wing J&K disclosed that the delegation will be leaving for UK, USA & Canada on a Gandhian mission. A total of four delegates from Gandhi Global Family including Mr. Manish Joshi, Chetan Kochhar, Shivani & Pooja will be visiting UK first where they will visit Harlow Essex, Birmingham,  Studford (birth place of Shakespeare), Isleworth, Scotland & also visit De MontFort University in Leicester where they will have an interaction with the faculty members in order to discuss students programs for South Asian students. After UK they will proceed towards USA where they will visit Washington DC, Virginia, Florida, Ohio, Boston & New York. Afterwards the delegation will proceed to Canada where they will visit Toronto & Ottawa. The delegation has been invited by GGF coordinators in these countries & the agenda of this visit is to initiate active GGF Chapters & enroll people supporting Gandhian Values  for building better understanding & cooperation by strengthening people to people contact. The delegation will also participate in the Independence Day celebrations of Canada in Toronto & of USA in Washington DC with proposed meetings with the respective Senators.
